May and June

FOur kindergarteners are blooming and blossoming, and it’s been such a joy to see how much they've grown this year! As we head toward summer break, we’re excited for a May and June filled with fun, friendship, and fantastic learning.
We’re kicking things off with Break Dancing classes—yes, you read that right! These energetic sessions will wrap up with a special performance that you’re invited to attend!
We’ll also be heading out on walking field trips to the Fire Station, Police Station, and Roundhouse Aquarium—lots of exploring and discovering ahead!
We’re also diving into our Sea Life Reports this month! These fun and educational projects are connected to May’s homework, and all the information you’ll need can be found on our class website—just scroll to the bottom of the homework page. In June, students will have a chance to present their reports in the classroom during the afternoon on their sharing day, right before dismissal. We can't wait to learn all about the amazing ocean creatures they’ve been researching!
On MAY 30TH our class will perform “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” at the Alumni Assembly, where we’ll celebrate our kindergarten stars and cheer on our graduating Senior Riptides as they share their exciting plans for after high school.
Another highlight is our annual Kinderthon Day, June 6th ,where students join their 5th Grade Buddies for fun-filled PE rotations. We'll also have a sweet final visit at Valley Park on June 9th, with our buddies to wrap up a year of special memories.
And of course, we’ll close out the year with our very own Kindergarten Sing on June 10th at 8:30 in your child's classroom! This joyful event will include performances and the presentation of our Kindergarten Memory Books—a perfect way to reflect on a magical year.
It’s a whirlwind of joy, and we are so grateful for the time we get to spend with your amazing children. Let’s make these last weeks unforgettable!
