A Message From the Teacher

Welcome to the 23-24 school year! I am very excited to welcome you to my classroom.
Let me start by giving you a little background about myself. I have been teaching in Manhattan Beach for 25 |

years. I attended UC SanDiego, where I earned a B.A. in Child Psychology and I have minors in Biology and Japanese History. After graduating, I lived in Japan for one year where I taught English to Middle School students. I returned from Japan and went back to get my Multiple Subject C.L.A.D. Teaching Credential and a Master’s Degree in Administration. I then taught first grade in Torrance for 6 years and have been teaching kindergarten in Manhattan Beach ever since. I am an animal lover and have many pets, including Emily the dog, Nikki the cat, Cody the horse, and Big Red the Betta fish (named after Justin Turner). My pets make occasionally guest appearances in some of my lessons! You might see me riding Cody on the trails out in Palos Verdes - it's my favorite way to relax! I am also a huge Dodger fan! Go Blue!
